Its good cable I bought this purely for xbox live and networking it to my pc so i can view files on the 360. It works as its supposed to, i hooked it from XBOX 360 to my 02 wireless router and that connected to my pc ethernetically. All in all just worked which is good!
Cheap enough UTP Cat5e I recommend this cabling on its price, considering you are getting a tad over 97 feet for very little outlay. Plus it is Cat5e specification. Ideal for home networking 10/100 ethernet connections without the need for RJ45 plugs and crimping pliers.I drop one star for the fact that the product doesnt state whether it is a Straight Through Patch or Crossover Patch cabling. Its ambigious to the fact that the stated spec is 568B RJ45 connectors which indicates Straight Through Patch. Ideal for Computer to Router/DSL Modem. However, the cabling is CROSSOVER (i.e 568B one end and 568A the other end)and only useful for Computer to Computer i.e PCI Ethernet card to PCI Ethernet Card connections, Or Ethernet Hub to DSL Modem using a port connection and not Uplink. Just make sure you know which type of cable you require before you purchase.
Does exactly what it says on the tin Not a lot to say here, I mean what can you say about a cable ?Dam good value for the amount of cable you actually get - 30 metres is very long and unless you live in a very large house will easily reach where-ever you need it to. As a previous reviewer said, this cable works fine for hooking your xbox into your modems ethernet port. Thats what I use mine for because Im to cheap to pay £80 for the wireless set up. In terms of product quality it seems pretty sound, a good thick insulating caseing and the actual clips at either end seem strong enough. I have deducted one star as I find releasing the clips from the ports on either the modem or xbox a bit fiddly. They have what I can only describe as "gaurds" at either side of the clip to prevent it being accidentally released but it does make it that little bit harder to release them. Not really a bad point and will do more good than harm in the long run but thats just my view point. Thats all I can say really. If you know this is the right type of cable for you I doubt you will find it cheaper anywhere else.
Average but super low price Nothing special but does exactly what you want it to. I use this on a home network with another PC 3 floors above me. Shops were asking for around £40 for a cable this lengh, so was very pleased to find it for this cheap on amazon.co.uk.
Used for Xbox Live I am using this wire for Xbox Live. As you may know not everybodies Xbox is in the same room as your broadband connection, so I brought this to connect it up while it is in another room. It is a Cat5e ethernet crossover cable, with RJ45 connectors, which is exactly what you need to connect to Xbox live. It is the right item for you if your Xbox is in a diffrent room to and you what Live.
